sometime within the last decade, back when Scott Walker still walked among us (not that he ever really did) and Corona was just a pale watery lager we were asked to contribute to a tribute. naturally we chose the tune which featured the least operatic acrobatics and the most pulsating disco rhythms. we slowed it down and had the utter hubris to pen an additional verse. thanks to the added talents of Michael Leonhart (co-production, bkg vox, drums), Miles Francis (add'l drums), and Miho Hatori (formerly of Cibo Matto), i feel like we all somehow emerge unscathed, which is what i'd hope for humankind in these trying times.
